Description

Description:

  • The Begonia Maculata ‘Wightii’, also known as the ‘Polka dot’ Begonia or Forel’ Begonia. Originally the Begonia Maculata comes from Brazil.
  • This nice plant is a bigger specimen among begonias and it looks really playful with its plentiness of big white spots all around the dark green leaves. It is unique in the form of its leaves. Because it has olive green leaves freckled with silvery-white spots on its upper surface and a red-Bordeaux reverse.
  • From late winter to early spring the spotted Begonia produces groups of flowers of ivory color.

How to plant:

  • Sun:In a luminous position, without direct sunlight that could ruin the beauty of the leaves.
  • Soil:It requires an acid soil, better if draining enough, and constantly moist; the water must therefore be supplied whenever the soil is almost dry.
  • Temperature: The ideal temperature for this begoniacea is between 15 and 20 ° C and it is advisable to fertilize from late spring to early summer with balanced fertilizer for green plants or flowering plants.
