Note: Sacalia bealei is different from Sacalia quadriocellata

Features: Beal’s eyed turtle (Sacalia bealei) is endemic to China. There are two pairs of eye spots with different colors and unclear boundaries on the back of the head, and there are multiple yellow (female) or red (male) stripes on the neck.

Adult carapace size: 14 to 20 cm

Diet: Insects, fish, shrimp, vegetables, tomatoes, fruits, etc.

Temp: 20 – 30 °C

Origin: Southern China
