• Pig-nosed turtles are unique-looking freshwater turtles. The carapace of the pig-nosed turtle is round and dark gray, olive gray or brown gray, with a row of white spots near the edge. The plastron is white, milky white or light yellow, lighter in color and slightly cross-shaped; the head cannot be retracted into the shell; the nose is long and fleshy, shaped like a pig’s nose; there is a gray stripe behind the eyes
