Description

Caystre’s Crab (Pseudozius caystrus) belongs to the family Pseudoziidae within the superfamily Pseudozioidea. It is found throughout the tropical and subtropical Indo-Pacific region, including eastern Africa, Madagascar, Micronesia, and parts of the Indian Ocean. This species typically inhabits intertidal reef zones and rocky shorelines at depths of 0–6 meters, where it is often found hiding under rocks or in crevices near the waterline.
