Description
Brachypelma baumgarteni (also called Mexican orange beauty) is a tarantula endemic to Pacific coast of Michoacan, Mexico.
This New World species is from savannas and scrublands of western Mexico.
Specimens can be identified from the leg markings – there is a red/orange stripe running the length of the metatarsus on all the legs.
They are docile but slightly nervous, and can kick hair when disturbed.
The adult size is 6″.
