• Amazon mata mata (Chelus fimbriata) found in Amazon basin and river of the Guianas.
• The carapace is brown and black, rectangular, with a bulge in the center of each scute, and the back edge of the carapace is serrated; the plastron is brown and rectangular; the head is dark brown, triangular, with a pair of antennae on the left and right, and the nose is tubular; the neck is dark brown, and the throat has 2 dark brown stripes

Adult carapace length: 40 – 50 cm

Diet: Turtle pellets, meats, fish, shrimp, vegetables, fruits, etc.

Water Temp: 24 – 30 °C
