Description: Mexican Red knee Tarantulas (Brachypelma Smithi) are predominantly black and dark brown, with light brown leg hairs and bright reddy orange making up the distinctive ‘red knees’. The abdomen is covered in light brown/grey urticating hairs.

It is one of the most recognized tarantulas and has been seen on several movies such as Raiders of the Lost Ark and Home Alone. It is a large, heavy bodied, colorful species that is particularly well suited as a display tarantula. This is certainly one of the easiest pets to care for.
