Mauremys mutica is also known as the Chinese Northern Stone Turtle

The Chinese Northern Stone Turtle (Mauremys mutica) and the Chinese Southern Stone Turtle have different appearances.

Feature: 

• The head of the northern stone turtle is light green while the head of the southern stone turtle is gray-black or brown
• The southern stone turtle has obvious black spots on its plastron, while the northern stone turtle has less black spots.

Adult carapace size: 15 to 20 cm

Diet: Turtle pellets, insects, fish, shrimp, vegetables, tomatoes, fruits, etc.

Temp: 20 – 32 °C
